Special Misting Effects
Kellyville Station – N.S.W.
Fogging has been installed at Kellyville and Rouse Hill stations on the new North West Rail line as an interesting artistic effect and to provide a cooling mist walkway during the hot summer months.
The weather may have been a bit cooler than ideal on this day, but you can see the effect and imagine the pleasant cooling breeze in the heat of summer. The Sydney Metro Northwest line opened on 26th May 2019 but the best days of the special effects misting system will be noticeable during next summer. There is also another system at Rouse Hill.
This misting system will be even more effective when it is operating at night, with the lights of the station walkway shining through and highlighting the mist. The system will give a cooling breeze on the hot days of summer and create an interesting drifting mist effect through the trees as they grow along the walkway.
